Quick update so I'm not leaving people in the dark.

I've done endless tests and so far they've ruled out the possibilities that it's a tumor or anything cancerous so the worst is over.

Yesterday I did a lumbar puncture which really hurt. For those who don't know, cause I sure didn't, it's where they stick a giant needle into your spine and take a sample of your cerebrospinal fluid. The anaesthetic needle hurts like hell and you can still feel it when they're poking around in there. The sample needle is very thin so you're there with it sticking out of your back for 7 minutes while it drips and need 4 hours to recover afterwards and feel stiff for the rest of the day. Yeah. It still hurts a little if I sit up too much.

Anyway, that test showed that my fluid is at an abnormal pressure level so they're guessing it's Benign Intracranial Hypertension. The lumbar puncture seems to have helped a little at least. But they're not totally sure if it is or WHY cause it's so rare so I still have to do an MRI next week and go in on Wednesday so they can finally tell me what's up and give me some treatment.

I got a little frustrated yesterday because it's taken so long to get any answers or help and did the stupid thing and read up a little on what they think it is, and the potential vision loss part sort of freaked me out... since I've had it for like 3 weeks now. I blame the pain I was in at the moment too, though.

I'm not so worried anymore, because the lumbar puncture did help and aside from a little soreness I'm generally feeling okay. I also realised it's okay to trust my Dad with how I'm feeling after he snapped me out of it... I still find it incredibly hard to see him as a Dad and not some kind of brother figure. But we're getting there.

Anyways, that's my situation at the moment. I'm just resting up and I'm going to Joel's house tommorow cause I can't just lie around and mope.

OPTIMISM.

I have to make this short.

I wish I could reply to everyone who sent me a message in my last entry. But I think if I reply to them my replies would be unscreened which would un-anon you. But I am so, so gratefull like you wouldn't believe.

I might try and reply then delete the message so you get in in notifications or something.

Right now I, uh, can't though.

A couple of weeks ago I started to notice my vision was going odd. Double vision from far away. Headaches, not fun.

Then I went to an optometrist who told me I had swollen optic nerve endings and to go see an opthamologist. Okay.

My appointment was for the 17th of July but when I told my mum about it she started freaking out, as mothers do, and told me this morning she got me one for today instead with another doctor.

So I go and the doc tells me I need to go to the Emergency Room at the Melbourne Eye & Ear Hospital straight away. ....ahaha....yeah....

So that's how I've spent my day. What they're telling me so far is that there's some kind of pressure on my brain at the moment that's also putting pressure on my optic nerve and giving me crazy vision. I gotta go back for the next two days while they run more tests and fix me.

WHAT AN EXCITING VACATION 8DDD I CAN HARDLY SEE RIGHT NOW FROM ALL THESE FUN TESTS.

In other news though... S-Sandra randomly gave me a new anime figure to put on my shelf cause she said she saw my other ones there and thought I might like it. Out of nowhere. None of my relatives have ever given me any anime goods... and she's just my Step-mum but that's still pretty close. Just the fact she even noticed what I like gave her so many cool points in my book.

I don't even know what series she's from but it's some cute to even out my manleh ones.

I'm seriously thinking about getting a PS3. I must be insaaane.

Just watched Kung Fu Panda online cause I was stuck resting up at home XD Cute movie. I still find it a little odd they feel the need to make characters animals for kids to relate to them. But in this particular one I really liked that they made the 5 warriors the animals of martial art stances so it's still relevant. My Uncle taught me them a long time ago when he used to teach me martial arts so I caught the reference straight away. They didn't have a horse one but that would have just looked silly ahaha.

I'm also addicted to No More Heroes on my Wii, YEY MINDLESS VIOLENCE.

Anyway it's been... 3 years since I did this last. Yes. Since it's doing the rounds, have at it.

Has anyone ever decided on a random quirk for their character, then researching into it got you kinda interested?

Like for Esmeralda she's really into dance and it made me start to notice shows like "So You Think you can Dance". Tan was really interested in the circus, so researching the kind of things they have in there made me suddenly want to go and see one. Nate was into the Saxophone and I started to want to hear some Saxophone jazz to get a feel for it. Now with Dina I've decided on the violin for her and am finding there really is some beautiful violin music out there. I find the electric violin a particularly awesome idea.

But then it's always a good thing to appreciate new things you wouldn't normally look into. Tell me your stories?

I agree with this for the most part... except for the shy thing. I know it told me that because of the first question, but that one was really hard to place. I prefer to have a small close group of friends and am easy-going and I do like my alone time... but at the same time I do get distracted and I love parties and my ideal travels are with friends. Dwah?

Anyway my exams went pretty good. Wrote until my hand hurt. Except I had one 3-hour exam in the morning and the second wasn't for a couple hours... so I was stuck hanging around outside in the cold, cold wind.

And surprise... I now have a cold to start my vacation. Fantastic. I can't go near my ratties either now because they can catch human colds. *sobsob*

But whatev. I have over a month of chillax time and am going to start by playing games.

Outing afterwards was fun as always though, stage show was better than I expected. Except that my focus was kinda outta whack from lack of sleep/exhaustion lawl. Hitting some random stranger in the head with a fork, plastic or not is not cool.

I'll only leave it up for a little while before I remove it. Yeah it's super simple and it's still buggy, but considering how little time we had and that we had to re-learn the mess that is ActionScript 3 in that same time? It's good enough. I really wanted to add a preloader, but yeah AS3 wasn't having any of that.

Wow. I was really getting myself too stressed out last night, over school and missing wallet and my brother so I said a really heartfelt prayer and decided to go to sleep earlier than usual.

THIS MORNING. I get a call that someone handed in my wallet to the office at school. It's been missing since Friday and JUST NOW? Makes me happeh~

Only thing that's annoying me a little right now is that I woke up really early this morning and could not get back to sleep. But oh well, this is actually a really good thing, I can go to sleep even earlier tonight this way and get my body clock back on track. NO MOAR LATE NIGHTS.

Oh yeah, my brother. I'm really proud of him at the moment, cause of his sudden big change I'd been hoping for.

He had a little traumatic experience and suddenly came to have a talk with me and get some help for some support and even went to visit our mother. Yesterday he even asked me how he could go about getting into a college course and he's been incredibly nice and respectful. This is MASSIVE change and I only hope it lasts. HERE'S HOPIN.

Man, I have to spend these holidays thinking about what I'm going to do for my major project next semester. Scary.

EDIT: ...So Apollo Justice is out in Australia now. But Trials & Tribulations isn't and doesn't have a release date.

On the better side of fandom I am reading this pretty epic Avatar fic called Ozai's Vengeance. It's been awhile since I've read a quality fic and everyone in the fandom seems to rec this writer.

I-I can see why now. It's a future Zutara fic but it has an ongoing plot about the Fire Nation managing after the war that i'd also been thinking about recently. Well thought out >>b I can ttly see all this happening. It even addresses both Kataang and Maiko in a very good light. I think I can see myself sketching stuff from it once I'm done. Only thing that bugged me a little was that Toph is gay in the fic when she's been shown to be straight in canon but oh well, it's never a really made big deal and she's exactly the same.

After this I'll be sure to read Stormbenders too, hurrhurr.

Anyway I thought I'd take out my crankyness on my OCs. Just listing 'em and making sure I got their flaws in check. Maybe like three good points too so I don't feel so bad, lawl.

I have noticed something, friends.

I'm never usually a main character fan. Possibly the only exceptions are Simon from TTGL and Phoenix from Ace Attorney.

What do they end up having in common?

HOBOISM.

By this deduction I come to the conclusion that I don't like main characters who get everything they want just because. These two are failures at life.

SO. I'm drowning in schoolwork but I took a short break to catch up on the couple of Gurren Lagann chapters I had been missing.

Because someone watching it in class today suddenly got me in the mood. How did I know they were watching it? Because I heard yelling and explosions and assumed it was GL, then when I looked over to check, it was XDXD

WTF. GL manga you are actually making me.... LIKE Simon/Yoko? But there is also less Kamina/Yoko lurve in here than I had hoped. I AM SAD. Well okay maybe a couple of added scenes but hrrrm.

I'm also liking Kittan a LOT more and especially liking that his Yoko affection is showing up a heck of a lot sooner XD His sisters have been sorta reduced to cheerleaders though, lawl.

D'aww, Dayakka/Kiyoh was one sided ;__;

I'm just realising how tragic it is now Kamina died so young. He was just bawwing his father died young and then HE GOES AND.... pfft.

Anyway this whole thing is a bit too awkwardly pervy sometimes, and it still can't match up to the trademark YELLING AND EXPLOSIONS, bright colours and epic music. But I'm liking all the extra interaction vereh much. The series moved a little fast sometimes to get much of this goofing around in, it's gold. The light event switching doesn't bother me too much either. NIA BACKSTORY? YES PLZ

I did get Okami but the disk wouldn't work so I gotta get it replaced D: I was mostly surprised by how fun DBZ Tenkaichi Budokai 3 is. And how many CHARACTERS they included. Not helping my random return to DBZ territory.

The thing that surprised me the most today: I heard my voice recorded with top of the line recording equipment. So what, you say?

...Turns out I have a little hint of an ACCENT DDD:

.....yeah that sounds tarded XDXD ELABORATE? I have my Australian accent sure, but in there I heard what was distinctly like a hint of Chilean accent. I asked Joel and he said yeah, he knew. WTF.

But then thinking about it I'm not surprised. I learnt Spanish before I self-taught myself English. I speak nothing but Spanish at home.

It's just a little ODD to learn something new about yourself when you thought you knew everything there WAS to discover.

Anywhoo, this mother's day is going to be odd. Celebrating it with.. a step-mum? Looking forward to seeing my real one though, it's been awhile.

Anyway, I got one of my due reports done early so... I decided to pull out ye olde tablet and draw some. It's been like a month since I've drawn anything decent, that is just SAD. Even longer since I've used my art tag here to post art. I've missed letting creativity ROAM FREEEE.

So apparently the Sozin's Comet novel is out now. Spoilars are of course going to be all over the net soon enough if it does actually detail what happens at the end of Avatar. BEFORE IT ACTUALLY AIRS. That has to be the most messed up thing ever.

Of course I know I'm gonna be weak and read 'em cause I don't wanna miss out on the explosion that's certain to follow. If it was closer to the air date, i'd probably hold off but July is too far away and I'll still be able to enjoy it then. Anyone else going to be weak around these parts?

I'm actually feeling a little wierd about these though D: Usually when I draw Fanart I try and imitate the original style for some reason. Just makes it look more like a tribute to the series, I suppose. But after being increasingly frustrated with how hard I was finding it to imitate the Avatar artstyle properly I decided a little while ago that I was going to try and use my own for it instead. The Avatar artstyle is very round and symplistic while I prefer to draw sharp with a lot of lines... so yeah. It's opposite to my element lolol *SHOT*.

Sheesh, everytime we get something new Avatar Fandom turns into epic wank.

Capstara may be one of the most active avatar comms but even that's suddenly gone into wank territory. SADFAIS.

It's also suddenly making me unreasonably annoyed with all the "Kataang is canon, get over it" comments on F!S and everywhere else.

Uh, yeah it's kind of obvious it will be. WILL be. But right NOW it is not because it takes two to reciprocate to be canon and Katara is still ambiguous. It's always this way, if a male has the crush it's suddenly canon. If it's a girl (eg. Sakura) she's just dellusional. Pfft.

Anyway fandom can't bring me down right now because I just got a perfect assignment score yesterday and today in another subject the teacher asked if he can demonstrate our project to the rest of the class. So dang pleased. Doing so much better than last year. Maybe I'll even get some freetime to get back to drawing soon.

Now then, as soon as I get back from dinner plans with friends I'll work on uploading this awesome soundtrack music.

I feel like the only sad Avatar fan right now who truly appreciated the Prisonbreak crossover that this double ep was. I am also sad this is my only PB icon at the moment.
